Lathrop State Park

A beautiful Colorado state park with two lakes is Lathrop State Park. Admission is $6 per day per vehicle.

This park offers biking, birding, boating, sail-boating, canoeing, swimming, fishing, year-round camping with electric and non-electric camping sites, golfing, hiking, hunting, jet-skiing, water skiing, picnicking, and in the summer, there are educational sessions given by park rangers.

The two lakes are Martin Lake and Horseshoe Lake and each offers a variety of fun things to do to please your whole family.

The park is located three miles west of Walsenburg on U.S. Highway 160. Walsenburg is located in the southeastern side of the state, below Pueblo, which is below Colorado Springs. Take I-25 and then Highway 160.
