Bonny Lake State Park

Bonny Lake State Park is a beautiful park close to Kansas, on the east side of Colorado.

The lake offers great fishing for bass, channel catfish, and walleye. This means boating is in at this lake.

Hunters love it here because there is an abundance of game--deer, turkeys, quail, rabbits, squirrels, waterfowl, and doves.

Camping is a great activity here. If you enjoy watching birds and wildlife, you can see turkeys, blue herons, bald eagles, ospreys, white pelicans, borrowing owls, prairie falcons, cardinals, eastern blue jays, mule deer, white-tailed deer, weasels, opossums, ground squirrels, raccoons, cotton-tailed rabbits, jackrabbits, coyotes, muskrats, coyotes, and beavers. As you can see, there are a lot of animals to observe. Make sure you bring binoculars, cameras, and a camcorder.

In the winter, you can go snowmobiling. In warmer weather, you can hike.
