Colorado State Parks

There are 42 Colorado state parks that you should acquaint yourself with before you visit Colorado. They are located all over the state. Learning about them will help you decide what part of Colorado you would like to visit first.

The beauty you will experience while exploring these parks is incredible. You and your family will experience the majesty of the Colorado mountains and the beauty of meadows, rivers, and lakes. You can hike, hunt, fish, swim, boat, play in the snow, or just enjoy the scenery. Learn about and observe Colorado's wildlife, birds, flowers, and trees.

Take sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, and cameras because you will want to experience everything in these parks and you will want to remember the gorgeous scenery when you return home.

There is a fee to get into the state parks. Some charge by the person and others charge by the vehicle. An annual state park pass can be purchased that is good in all 42 state parks for 12 months from the date of purchase. Some have different activities going on during the year that you may enjoy.
