Boyd Lake State Park

Boyd Lake State Park is in Loveland, Colorado and is a water-lover's paradise. The lake has 1,700 surface acres of water for you to play on. Fishing, boating, and swimming are favorite things to do in the summer for tourists here.

In the winter, there is ice fishing and snowy hiking by the lake.

Fishers can expect to catch any of the following: channel catfish, carp, crappie, walleye, largemouth bass, white bass, yellow perch, and rainbow trout.

There is a sandy beach for swimmers with a nearby coffee shop for drinks and snacks. Canoes, sailboats, fishing boats, and ski-boats are all used in this gorgeous lake.

The campground in this park has 148 paved camping sites.

If you are into wildlife, bring your binoculars and cameras because there is a lot to see. Expect to see eagles, white pelicans, egrets, great-horned owls, hawks, great blue heron, red foxes, ground squirrels, coyotes, muskrats, cotton tail rabbits, and raccoons.

Hiking and biking through the park are also enjoyable. The trails are are good in summer and in winter, they become cross-country ski trails.
