Colorado Springs Airport

If you would like to save time, fly in to the Colorado Springs Airport instead of driving on your trip.

While we lived there, Colorado Springs built a beautiful new airport right near our home. When my husband's parents flew in for his graduation from Bible College, we got to go over and pick them up at the brand new Colorado Springs Airport. Very classy!

You can fly to Colorado Springs on United, Frontier, Skywest, Northwest, United, US Airways, Continental, or Delta Airlines. But not American Airlines or Southwest.

I suggest that you go online and look for deals through an online travel agency like Expedia or Travelocity. But sometimes, the airlines themselves can give you a good deal so you may want to check online with the actual airlines as well. Also, you can book reservations to rent a car and pick it up at the airport online. Hotel reservations, too, can be booked online.

Right now, with the economy in a slump, you can find some good deals. Usually a Saturday night stay at your destination makes the trip cheaper.

I used to book flights for American Airlines and a Saturday night stay would always make the flight less expensive. Of course, it all depends on how many others have booked your particular flight as well.

Before we moved to Colorado Springs, we used to drive from El Paso and believe me, it is way better to fly here than to drive, especially with small children! I love the idea that I can sit down, buckle up, and leave the driving to the pilot and in just a matter of a few hours, I can be at my destination.

The airport is not far from some major roads through Colorado Springs and you can go to a car rental counter at the airport and then conveniently pick up your vehicle there.

You should probably maximize your time and fly to Colorado Springs if you:

1. Don't have too much time to spend here.

2. Hate to drive across country.

3. Have a baby or young children who find it difficult to sit still for long amounts of time.

4. Are traveling with a senior citizen.

5. Are on your honeymoon.

Have a great flight in to the Colorado Springs Airport!
